Track driven E9X M3's are known to have issues with stock power steering coolers. Due to the OE coolers low efficiency it's not uncommon for the system to overheat and cause a power steering fluid overflow out of the reservoir. If unchecked this can cause power steering rack or pump damage.
This CSF power steering cooler differs in design over the OE cooler which is a low efficiency mechanically bonded core design to CAB-brazed high efficiency plate-type design. It's made with CSF’s AC condenser technology using a 1-row super-high pressure 18mm wide 4-channel microtube. It also offers a dual pass 6-row design with an 83% increase in surface area compared to the OE unit. IT has been lab tested at ~40% more efficient than OEM cooler

Note: Increase in unit size (total 83 mm or 3.27 inches in height) designed towards the top of the cooler from OE position. This allows the cooler to work with any aftermarket supercharger heat exchanger or auxiliary coolers that may be placed underneath OE positioned power steering cooler
